At PhosAgro, we believe our people are our most valuable assets. To maintain our growth rates and our leading position in the agrochemical industry, we need to recruit, develop and retain motivated and highly committed professionals that share the company’s values.
Our HR policies are focused around the following aspects:
- Being an Employer of Choice
- For the Best Professionals
- For the Brightest Young Talent
- Professional and Personal Development
- Health and Safety
Being an Employer of Choice
For the Best Professionals We strive to be an employer of choice for the best professionals. We offer not just a job but a career in one of the largest companies in Russia and the world. At each PhosAgro enterprise human resource managers form a talent pool and arrange for the training of candidates who have been selected to fill senior vacancies.
- The multi-layer talent pool system in place at Ammophos comprises over 400 key positions. All pool members are trained to fill the corresponding key position. The process is managed by the talent pool commission.
- The talent pool system at Apatit comprises the ApatitProfReserve program for blue-collar jobs as well as competitions among newcomers to the company who have been with Apatit for less than one year and who are asked to defend a thesis.
- Balakovo Mineral Fertilizers arranges for its senior managers to undergo external training, including Russian Federation Presidential Program courses.
For the Brightest Young Talent
We aim to be an employer of choice for talented young people. To achieve this we introduce vocational counseling programs for high-school students and cooperate with educational institutions in Moscow, St Petersburg, Cherepovets, Ivanovo and other locations where our businesses are operating.
- In 2008 Balakovo Mineral Fertilizers obtained a Saratov Region Education Ministry license to conduct professional training courses for 85 professions.
- The human resources department of Cherepovetsky Azot is also actively cooperating with key educational institutions, including the Ivanovo State Chemical Technology University and Cherepovets Professional School No 37. Each year 10 to 20 young professionals join the company with over 100 students receiving professional training at the plant. A tripartite agreement between the Ivanovo State Chemical Technology University, Cherepovets Municipality and Cherepovetsky Azot is in place for targeted enrolment of Cherepovets school graduates at the university. A joint program between the government of the Vologda region and PhosAgro has been implemented since 2008 for Professional School No 37 to qualify as a higher professional education institution, which will allow it to highly upgrade its hardware and educational materials.
- Apatit is implementing a vocational counseling program for high school students called Apatit-Class. Another interesting project run by the company is New Horizons. It is a set of educational programs allowing young people to be initiated into professions the company will need in the future. For a long time Apatit has been cooperating with the Plekhanov Leningrad Mining University offering jobs to graduate students. The company covers expenses for internships for students in higher education or higher professional education at the plant. Outstanding school and university students receive a grant from the CEO each year.
