Nitrogen fertilizers promote plant growth and improve product quality. One of the most popular nitrogen fertilizers in Russia is ammonium nitrate. Commercial aqueous ammonia is used as nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture, livestock feed, paint production and in the electrolytic production of metals and alloys to create protective atmospheres.

Commercial liquid ammonia is the raw material for the production of mineral fertilizers and numerous nitrogen-containing industrial chemicals.

Carbamide (urea) is a highly concentrated nitrogen fertilizer with a nitrogen content of no less than 46.2%. It is also used as an industrial raw material for the production of urea-formaldehyde resins, plastics, adhesives and melamine.
