St. Petersburg – A delegation from PhosAgro (Moscow Exchange, LSE: PHOR), one of the world’s leading vertically integrated phosphate-based fertilizer producers, led by its CEO Andrey Guryev is participating in the jubilee XX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
This year Andrey Guryev, who is a regular SPIEF participant, is at the forum representing not only PhosAgro, but also in the role of the President of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers, as a member of the Management Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, as the Chairman of the Russian-Argentinian Business Dialogue from the Russian side, and as the Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Brazilian Business Council.
During panel discussions, Mr. Guryev intends to discuss, inter alia, issues related to Russian and global food security, sharing successful experiences with developing domestic demand for mineral fertilizers, supporting domestic agricultural production and increasing the competitiveness of Russian industry, including with the help of national export support systems in various countries.
At the forum, Andrey Guryev also plans to discuss ways of stimulating investment activity in Russia in the new realities, opportunities for public-private partnerships to support comprehensive development of the regions where PhosAgro operates, Russia’s potential as a global leader in the world soft commodities market, expansion into new sales geographies, increasing cooperation with Latin America, and initiatives in the area of green chemistry to help protect the environment.
