Viktor Ivanov

Viktor was born in 1943. He graduated from the Kirov Tomsk Polytechnic Institute. Graduate of the Academy of National Economy under the Council of Ministers of the USSR. Candidate of Technical Sciences.
Beginning in 1988, he held the post of Deputy Minister of the Chemical Industry of the USSR; from 1992 to 1996, Chairman of the Committee for the Chemical and Petrochemical Industry of the Russian Federation; from 1996 to 1997, Deputy Minister of Industry of the Russian Federation.
Since 1997, he has been the President of the Russian Union of Chemists, a non-profit organisation uniting companies in the chemical sector; industry research, design and training institutes; chemical unions and associations; and Russian vertically integrated companies.
Distinguished Chemist of Russia. Honorary Professor at the Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology.
