Eco-efficient fertilizers

All of PhosAgro’s fertilizers meet the highest international safety standards

PhosAgro was the first Russian company to be certified to GOST R 58658–2019, a national standard for products with improved characteristics which introduced the world’s most rigorous limits on heavy metals and arsenic content. This allows PhosAgro to mark its products with a special Green One label.

The Company also successfully completed voluntary Vitality Leaf certification. This ISO 14024-compliant certification framework is designed to assess a product’s environmental safety throughout its lifecycle, including mining and processing of raw materials, their delivery to the plant, storage, transportation and use of finished products, and packaging recycling.

Additionally, PhosAgro’s Green Label environmental claim asserts that its products are free from dangerous cadmium concentrations harmful to human health and soils.

PhosAgro’s experts prepared a Guide to Eco-Efficient Phosphate Fertilizers providing insights on heavy metals and their negative impact on soils as one of the crucial environmental assets, as well as on human beings and animals. It covers a number of general and specific topics, such as why mineral fertilizers have different content of heavy metals, including cadmium recognised as carcinogenic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

PhosAgro has the right to label its eco-efficient products with a pictogram developed under Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 and certifying compliance with safety requirements for heavy metals content in fertilizers.
